Energy Savings
Rising energy costs coupled with greater price volatility, can wreak havoc with your bottom line. Energy efficiency has never been more important. Our heat-blocking solutions not only outperform fiberglass insulation, but can easily be applied to more difficult areas such as joints, valves, tight, or wet spaces.
- Super Therm® Our flagship insulation coating that blocks heat load with an equivalent effectiveness of R-19 (6-8” of fiberglass insulation) in just 1/100th inch. It also blocks moisture penetration, air infiltration and sound. Super Therm® is a particularly effective option for:
- reflecting radiational and convective heat on roofs
- blocking heat load on to substrates
- many interior applications requiring enhanced insulation
- HSC™ Coating - Specially designed for hot pipes or surfaces. Blocks conductive heat transfer (up to 350° F) and significantly reduces heat loss. HSC™ can also be used as an interior insulation solution for walls or under roofs to enhance or replace existing insulation.
- HPC™ Coating - Specially designed to insulate and protect hot pipes or surfaces (such as on a boiler) in extreme temperature situations, up to 700° F (and higher with instructions) by effectively blocking conductive heat from leaving the surface.
- Epoxotherm - Designed to insulate wet surfaces, Epoxotherm is a two- part industrial grade epoxy that combines the ceramics of Super Therm® for exceptional insulative performance. It applies directly to wet surfaces and is mold/mildew resistant.
Roof Protection/Reflective Cool Roof Options
Roof Protection/Reflective Cool Roof Options
Using the proper coatings not only protects and extends the life of a roof for many years, but can provide additional insulative (energy efficient) benefits as well. Our coatings can resolve issues related to water ponding, leaks, high foot traffic, and material fatigue.
- Super Therm® - The ideal reflective white roof solution. With its unique combination of 4 ceramic compounds, Super Therm® reflects 95% of solar heat (UV, Infrared, and visible light) as well as block heat load to the roof substrate. It has been proven to lose less than 1% (only .6%) of its reflectivity over 3 years and only 2% over 10 years. Under normal conditions, when applied as a system, Super Therm® has a 20+ year lifespan when used on roofing.
- Enamo Grip - A particularly tough coating that is highly resistant to water, humidity, and staining, and has exceptional scuff, mark, and impact resistance. A perfect high traffic solution that can be tinted to any color or made non-skid if needed.
- SP Liquid Membrane - A tough elastomeric coating that offers superior waterproof protection and can be used as a primer, as a 1-coat system, or as a top coat. It can be applied over pressure-washed substrates of TPO, EPDM, PVC, wood, concrete, or metal.
Insulation and Heat Reduction
Insulation and Heat Reduction
Choosing the right eco-friendly insulation coating can provide years of carefree protection and avoids many problems associated with traditional insulation. For example, when Fiberglass is exposed to as little as 1.5% humidity, it can lose up to 35% of its effectiveness. When it becomes compressed or is not tightly sealed around uneven areas, it is even less effective. Fiberglass can also pose health hazards over time as it becomes brittle and its fragments are become airborne.
- Super Therm® - With its combination of 4 unique ceramic compounds, Super Therm® can effectively block heat load with the equivalent effectiveness of 6-8” of fiberglass insulation (R-19) in a coating only 10 mils (1/100th inch) thick. It is resistant to water, mold, mildew, fire (Class A fire rating) and is certified environmentally safe by MBD LLC.
- HSC™ Coating - Offers a “green”, non-flammable, non-toxic solution for blocking heat transfer on a surface up to 350° F. HSC™ can be applied to a variety of surfaces such as metal, concrete, wood, sheetrock and others. It can also be used on walls or under roofs for additional insulative protection. Unlike Fiberglass, HSC™ does not absorb moisture or lose insulation value over time.
- HPC™ Coating - With its 7 non-conductive ceramic compounds, HPC™ is the ideal solution for coating surfaces exposed to extreme, sustained heat (up to 700° F). It can be applied directly to a hot surface, pipe, boiler, furnace, etc. without the need for shutdown. It can also coat and protect areas that are difficult to access such as elbows and valves which are problematic with much thicker fiberglass insulation.
Condensation
Condensation
Condensation on cold water pipes can cause many problems when traditional insulation or wraps are used. Just a small amount of moisture on the surface can cause corrosion under insulation (CUI) as well as cause mold problems. Our coatings cure directly to the surface, protecting it for years from corrosion, and are highly resistant to mold, mildew, and fire.
- Super Therm® - As a coating with the equivalent effectiveness of 6-8” of Fiberglass insulation (R-19), Super Therm® bonds to surfaces and effectively blocks the moisture that causes corrosion. It provides years of protection and is highly resistant to mold and mildew.
- HSC™ Coating - A long term solution that be applied in layers to provide additional protective insulation. HSC™ effectively blocks moisture from reaching the coated surface, protecting it from corrosion for years.
- HPC™ Coating - Can be applied directly over previous coatings, provided that they are fully adhered to the surface. Effectively stops condensation in environments with significant temperature differences due to its complete surface bond.
- Enamo Grip - A very tough fully waterproof top coat that can be used over the above listed coatings to give added protection against chemicals, solvents, or excessive exposure to water. Mold and mildew resistant with a 15+ year lifespan under normal conditions.
Metal Rusting and Corrosion
Metal Rusting and Corrosion
By using the right coatings to prevent rust and corrosion you can substantially extend the useful life of your assets. In some cases where the integrity of the metal has been compromised, our coatings can actually bond to, and strengthen, rusted or corroded surfaces and prevent further degradation for many years. In addition to protecting metal surfaces, both Rust Grip® and Moist Metal Grip can be applied to concrete, masonry, or wood.
- Rust Grip® - As a three-coats-in-one system, Rust Grip® acts as a primer, intermediate, and topcoat with a single application which strengthens surfaces to 6780 psi (473 bar) after 21 days. (Concrete is 3500 psi by comparison). It can be applied directly over rusted surfaces or existing paint, with no sandblasting required in most cases. This substantially cuts costs and the time required to complete a project.
- Moist Metal Grip - When surfaces are too wet to apply Rust Grip®, Moist Metal Grip can be applied directly to prevent further surface corrosion. It can be used under water and is resistant to chemicals and solvents.
Asbestos/Hazardous Materials Encapsulation

On July 25th, 2003, land Line Magazine(the Business Magazine for Professional Truckers) wrote an article that reported the results of a test done by a large grocery company in Arizona. The company compared its Super Therm® coated trucks to 2 “control” trucks. One control truck was un-coated, and the other had the truck manufacturer’s “heat resistant” composite top. Their 2003 report on fuel savings states: “In July, the Super Therm® coated units burned 30% less fuel than the “control” units, and 20% less than the manufacturer’s heat-resistant composite units.” The July report also states: “On an annual basis, this resulted in decreased fuel consumption of 1,039 gallons and 463 gallons respectively. At $1.10 per gallon (2003 prices), the cost savings were $1,143 and $590 per unit.
Currently, the cost of Diesel fuel as about $4.00 per gallon, this now calculates to a cost savings of approximately $4,156 and $1,852 per unit respectively. This is almost 4 times the dollar savings than figured in 2003. In October, this test was run again. Considering the cooler temperatures and shorter days of October, the annualized decreased fuel consumption was 599 and 435 gallons respectively. This translates into a current cost savings of approximately $2,396 and $1,740.
